There is absolutely no doubt that John McGuinness will be remembered as the hero of the Centenary TT.  As usual he was the man to beat if you wanted to win a TT and while it might have been a foregone conclusion that "Flint" was going to break that magic 130mph barrier, it was the way he did it that made the 2007 Senior TT perhaps enough magic to help wash away the memories of the less successful elements of the festival.  John used his trademark first lap blitz to take a superb victory and write his name not just into the record books, but into the history of the TT.

Michael Rutter took some stick from the spectators following his performances in the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport races but completed the Senior TT in style with that top ten finish. Only then did it become apparent that he damaged / broke his wrist when he crashed out of the Snetterton round of the BSB Championship.  Michael then perhaps should  be included  in the ranks of heroes in attendance  at this years event, though there might be an issue regarding whether or not he disclosed his scaphoid injury to the doctor at the TT.

I am not sure if this is the correct category but I think Molly needs to get a mention. He will no doubt have spent hours laughing until he cried following this years results.   Theoretically overall victory in the Sidecar races was virtually a foregone conclusion. Dave had  pretty well publicised disasters during practice week while Nick Crowe was odds on to make it a double celebration.    I am afraid Nick will have to get up earlier to out  smart Molly than he did.  Perhaps if Nick Crowe had subdued his enthusiasm he might well of pulled off one or both wins but I feel Molly dummied Nick into giving it everything and asking too much from his motor.  You know the phrase, to finish first, first you have to finish.
